Our good friends, Sandy and Robert, had us over for pizza on Halloween, followed by trick-or-treating in our old neighborhood.

It was fun to get together with all our old neighbors to hand out candy. They have a system that works really well. Everyone congregates in one yard (or garage if it's cold) and we all get to visit while the trick-or-treaters just go down the table to collect their candy from us.

We also stopped by my friend, Dawn's, house to see what her husband cooked up this year. He works on his decorations and costume all year long. Last year he was a pirate and his ship took up the entire driveway. The children had to climb aboard for their candy and then slide down the "plank" to leave. This year he was Dr. Frankenstein and he had created a haunted castle facade with a cemetery. It was a little scary for Maya, but the rest of the kids seemed to enjoy it.

Good idea of meeting in a neighborhood garage to pass out treats. We get so little time to visit with each other.
