Fun with Alex

When we adopted Maya and Tristan, Alex was a little 15-month-old baby. It was a big adjustment for him to have 2 more little toddlers (that needed a lot of attention) introduced into our family all of a sudden. This year, for the first time, all the other kids (except Sebastian), are in school all day. It has been very healthy for us to have this time together. He has just soaked up all the Mommy time, always wanting to sit on my lap when I read him a story and often wanting to "cozy up" in bed with me. He is also enjoying having some time to have the toys all to himself.

He often sets up toys in an elaborate way and wants me to photograph it.One day Alex asked me if we could make him a CTR (Choose The Right) superhero cape. Notice the rainboots. He wore these everyday until they literally cracked into pieces and fell apart! He was very sad when we had to throw them away.He rides his bike when we go to the bus stop. He asked me to take both of these pictures. On the 30th of November we had our first snowflakes fall. After the other kids went off to school, Alex wanted to get in his snowclothes and play in the snow. Unfortunately there really wasn't any to play in. He still had a wonderful time and was happy to come in after a while to some hot chocolate. What a joy this child is to me!
