Emma, however, did make me promise that she could still go on the 2 culminating field trips for the 4th grade at her old school. This included meeting her pen pal at Chuck-E-Cheese and going on a Detroit River boat tour. She loved seeing her old friends and I had fun taking her to these.
In the photo above the girl to the right is her pen pal from another school. The two girls on her far left are her closest school friends. The girl directly to her left moved into our old house, has Emma's old bedroom, slid right into Emma's slot in her 4th grade class and even sits at her old desk! Sebastian is enjoying being on his big sister's lap!
The day on the boat was a sweltering day, but some shade and the breeze made it heavenly! That is Canada across the river.
She was also able to go to with her daddy for "Take Your Child to Work" day. They go all out making it fun for the kids!

The boy to Emma's left happens to be the son of some friends' of ours. We all went camping together years ago when they were both 5. He is in the yellow shirt and she is wearing the hat.
Neither of them have any recollection of this trip or of each other! It's amazing how time flies.
