Photo Catchup

I took the kids to this outdoor mall play area, and they definitely weren't sure what to think! When they climbed on the fruit or vegetable, sounds came out of it and made them very nervous! Isabelle was the only one who would smile for a picture. :)
Our basement of toys has turned out to be too overwhelming for these little ones. We have some toys on the main floor too, but mostly more baby type toys (which all continue to enjoy thoroughly). When we do go downstairs, Alex wreaks havoc by dumping everything out of every drawer, bin or cubby, and Maya and Tristan can't focus on any one toy for longer than 5 seconds. So, to develop attention span and maintain peace of mind, I have started bringing up different toys for them to play with for a couple days. They were very excited about the kitchen and food set! Anything about food is always good! :) The kitchen only ended up staying upstairs for 10 minutes as Alex kept knocking it over and everyone would get mad. :)


We dipped strawberries and rice crispy balls in chocolate one night and nobody could wait for the chocolate to harden all the way! Alex and Isabelle were already cleaned up by the time the camera came out, and I put up Emma's pic even though she is relatively clean, to show that she lost another tooth. That's her fifth one, and still her tooth fairy is one of the most forgetful (or busiest) tooth fairies on the planet. poor kid! Sometimes she has to write her a special note, if her fairy forgets the first night! Hopefully she will get better with practice! :)

I finally got Maya to try a bit of pedaling. She's still not fond of this type of transportation. She prefers to scoot along with her feet pushing off the ground like she did at the orphanage. She loves the Big Wheel!
Yes, this is a photo of Maya with a dryer sheet on her forehead. We were outside playing on this day, and Maya tripped and fell face first on the sidewalk. She got a good-sized goose egg on her forehead and we came inside and quickly applied the "boo-boo bag." This is a special freezer pack we have, and it was Maya's first experience with it, although she has seen both the boys use it on various occasions. I laid her on my lap and held it on her forehead for a bit. When Jeff came home after work she actually teared up telling him all about it, and then after dinner she was in the laundry room and came out applying this to her forehead, acting out the scene. A minute later, she came out with a pair of Tristan's dirty big boy pants!
