Family In Town!

With the width of the United States between us and the rest of our extended families (specifically anywhere from 1,500 to 2,400 miles), we are in absolute heaven when some of them decide to visit. This month my Dad and Deborah and Elisabeth (my two half-sisters) came to visit, and we all loved every minute! My Dad and I both have a passion for food, so we ate lots of wonderful food and the kids were in there swimsuits almost everyday--whether at our subdivision pool, a sprinkler zone or at the beach on a lake. Emma especially loved having girls her own age to swim and goof around with!

They kept trying to fill the moat and couldn't understand why the water kept disappearing. They are all eating very juicy peaches. :)My Dad and I, and one very tired little 3-year-old!It was amazing to see all my little ones respond so warmly to their Grandpa! They couldn't get enough of being on his lap and having his attention.They loved dancing with Elisabeth too!Our guests happened to be here the week before Isabelle and Grandpa's birthdays (they are 2 days apart), so we celebrated with a big meal and this elegant and incredibly delicious chocolate & cherry trifle made by Grandpa.Then we let Isabelle open a couple of presents early, and surprised Dad with a gift card to one of his favorite stores, Sur Le Table.The gift included a trip to the store to spend it, and the kids had fun playing on the gigantic vegetables while we waited for him.Thanks for coming to visit us Dad!
