Landmark Trip to the Zoo

Last month we experienced our first trip to the zoo with NO strollers! All the munchkins had very tired little legs by the end of our rounds, but that's part of the reason we take them, right? And magically, when we came to the huge playground at the end of our route, all fatigue was forgotten! They ran around and climbed and played for a good hour more.

If you can't tell, the animal sculpture below (that is being blinded and suffocated) is a turtle. Please no emails from animal rights activists.
Alex was completely fascinated with the peacocks that were wandering around everywhere.
One of our favorite parts is the underwater Polar Passage, where you can see the seals and sometimes the polar bears swim around.

Fun surprise! Where is the zoo located? They are growing up fast.
No baby left in this family.

What a beautiful family! We love those activities that wear the kids out. The zoo looks really cool!

Wow, how would it be? Katya can't handle walking very long. If she walks to long (more than 2 minutes) it can quickly turn into a full tantrum that can last for hours. We learned the hard way when we took her on a short hike last summer. I now find it easier to bring a stroller for her and let her and me be happy. Someday though, right?
