Tonight we had a very spontaneous Mexican culture night in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Tacos, enchiladas, pico de gallo and guacamole for dinner. Jeff and I spoke in Spanish as much as possible (we're a little rusty!). Then we taught the kids "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes" in Spanish and played Duck, Duck, Goose (Pato, Pato, Ganzo). They loved it! Below is a very serious video production of "Cabeza, Hombros, Rodillas y Pies."
We topped off the evening with a yummy Tres Leches Cake. Here's the recipe if you want to give it a try. It was a definite hit! I think this will have to be another family tradition. We all had a lot of fun.
Thanks for taking an interest in our family! Please leave comments to our posts! We would love to hear from all of you. This blog was started to record our adventures in the adoption world four years ago. Now it has become more of a family blog.
