Around these parts we like to see the New Year in right with friends and games and food. We did the countdown at 1o p.m. for the 4 little ones, and then again at Midnight for everyone else. The kids all loved throwing Snap Pops down and blowing their noisemakers. There were dart-throwing contests, rounds of Ninja, a brown paper-bag game where we all fell on our faces, our own version of Win, Lose or Draw, as well as a board-game tournament with a crowned King and prizes. The food was excellent too, with almond poppyseed sweetbread, stuffed mushrooms, fresh salsa and chips, Boursin cheese and crackers, chocolate pretzels, praline and cinnamon pecans, Italian cream sodas, and much, much more.
The kids all wanted to do it again the next night. :)
Actually, so do I!

Happy New Year everyone!
Can't wait to see what 2010 will bring.
