Maya's 6th Birthday

Maya's birthday is actually the 26th, but we decided to go ahead and celebrate today just to be safe with the baby coming soon and all. It worked out great cause we were planning on sending in birthday treats for her class today anyway. We went ahead and had our traditional birthday breakfast for dinner when everyone was home and Sandy and Robert could join us. It was a lot of fun seeing all Maya's happy smiles! She usually eats more French toast then anyone else--at least 3 pieces, but tonight she only wanted one. She was ready to get to the presents!The strawberries were frozen ones from our garden. Yum!All her siblings had lots of fun preparing birthday gifts for her, and she seemed to genuinely appreciate each one.Maya often tells me she wants to be a "hair fixer" when she grows up.We also got her some kitchen appliance toys because when I am busy cooking she often brinsg our play food over and "cooks" near me. It is so sweet.Finally we were able to get around to the party games,and the cake and ice cream! We did brownie cake with mint chocolate chip ice cream.Happy Birthday Maya!
