Our trip across the nation, part 2

One of the best parts of our trip was that we were able to visit the kids' 3 great grandparents. This was the first time they had met Maya and Tristan, and the other kids had grown and changed so much since we were out last.
We had a partial family gathering with some of Jeff's siblings at Marvin and Lori's house. Nine of the kids' 13 cousins on the John side were there.
The kids, of course, loved having so many wonderful playmates!
Baby Michael was the most easy-going, pleasant baby I have ever seen in my life! What a sweet little guy!The kids loved wrestling with cousin Nick!
...and going on a walk with Aunt Mindy!

Alex developed a definite fondness for his cousin Millie.
Not sure the feeling was as mutually strong! :)

Jeff, Uncle Bill, Steven and Rebecca played a fierce game of 500.
Maya watched for a few minutes, then decided she needed to get in on the action.

Needless to say, none of us wanted to come back to Michigan. It was probably the best trip home we have ever had. Count your blessings if you happen to live close to your family.
