Easter Catch-up 2

Saturday morning we were off to some friends' house for an egg hunt and Easter luncheon. Unfortunately I forgot my camera, but it was a beautiful day and the kids had tons of fun searching for eggs and then cracking open an awesome Easter egg pinata my girlfriend had made. The food was wonderful too--ham, rolls, deviled eggs, salad, fruit--all the traditional things. I brought this carrot cake too.

Then back home to feast on the words of our modern-day prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, and the apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at General Conference. Seriously, if you want to feel the Spirit in your life, try listening to these guys. They do this conference every 6 months, and I love it! One of my favorite quotes was something like, "Two people can accomplish anything, if one is the Lord." Nothing too profound there, but definitely a good reminder.

We also colored our Easter eggs.In the evening the kids got ready for bed and then came back downstairs to read a scripture story. They were thrilled to find that the Easter bunny had come and left them an indoor basketball game and hidden their eggs all over the house. They were also thrilled to find that many of the eggs had pennies in them! :) They are all into pennies around here right now. They were so excited to pay their tithing today on what they found! Here's a video and some pics:
