Dossier Headed for Moscow

Since we are now adopting in the Moscow region, rather than Omsk, we had a slightly different list of documents to gather for our dossier. For the last week we have been cramming required online educational adoption courses into our busy lives and organizing all the required documents. We were waiting to get back our apostilled marriage certificate from Utah. That arrived Saturday morning, so now our dossier is headed once more over the Atlantic.

The nice thing about this region is that they want all the documents up front, instead of in two parts like Omsk. It takes more work getting everything together, but then you are done and you don't have to worry about it. The only thing we have left is to go to the police station and get our fingerprints done, then we send that to the FBI so they can discover all of our criminal activity. :)It takes about a month to get it done.

Once our dossier arrives in Moscow they will translate it and officially register us with Russia's Ministry of Education. This should take a week or two, then they will be able to give us a travel date. We will probably only get about 1 week's notice again.

We are getting very excited about these two little people, and we are hoping and praying that this time all will go smoothly.

The other day I put some new overalls on Alex, Isabelle pointed to the brand label on it and asked what it said. I told her "Osh Kosh Bgosh." She said "Russian?"
